Would you rather.... be good or be right?

These two options seem similar and yet they could not be more different. Consider the style of conversations many church people have. Who is right - is frequently what everything orbits around. Debates, attempts to convince or irrefutable evidences ultimately end in separation or divisions. No church has been exempt from these interactions and someone almost always gets hurt. Focusing on being right often means that you are judgmental and prideful. Both of which Jesus speaks specifically about not being...

What about good though? Have you ever noticed that "good" isn't a virtue you can attribute to yourself? If you have to tell me you are "good", I either don't know you or you are lying... Good is something we say about other people because we observe that they are not selfish. They are focused on caring for others and aren't trying to get noticed.

This Sunday we get to unpack these differences in the life of a man named Joseph who is called Barnabas by the other disciples. Join me as we discover how his way of life has direct application to our lives right now.
