Have you ever felt powerless to change something that was detrimentally impacting you? Psychologists tell us that we usually have one of three different responses when we don't like something: Fight, Flight, Freeze. Feeling powerless certainly can cause us to react in one of these ways too. We can see each of these played out in our society right now in reactions to government, injustice, pandemic mandates and even in interactions at retail stores of food service... But fight, flight and freeze the only options available to us?

This Sunday we get to explore how the church responds in a situation where they feel powerless to change what is happening. There are many significant takeaways for us that I believe the Holy Spirit wants to transform us in as we respond to increasingly volatile circumstances and situations.
