Week #22, June 18, 2023

Whether we like it or not, our society is very much oriented around performance. We celebrate success, we celebrate winning, we celebrate improvement, we celebrate achievement. Not that these things are bad, but are these the most important things? 

When it comes to church, serving if combined with these pursuits creates burnout and hurt through lack of care by church leaders. 

Is this the best way? Is this what church really has to offer the world and the people who make up the church? 1 Corinthians 13 has something to challenge us with that is a MUCH different and as Paul says: "the best way". I look forward to unpacking this with you on Sunday!
