There is a long time parental saying: To find or make a friend, you have to be a friend. The difficulty with the statement is that it assumes we know how to BE a friend. How then do you be a friend, and then find others to be friends to you?

As we continue to investigate how we live out Jesus' great commission in our community we get to a really practical element of making disciples: How do I make friends? How do I find friends as an adult? How do I break out of loneliness myself so that I can help others not be lonely and show them the love and kindness Jesus has shown to me?
